TTC are aviation security and dangerous goods specialists. Their online training platform we built and maintain is used by over 8000 people requiring specialist training across 150+ companies.
We worked to understand their current background checking process and bring it online as a feature to their existing training platform.
TTC provide aviation security and dangerous goods training and consultancy led by an expert team recognised in the UK and internationally.
The core platform is built in Go, with the frontend in React. We made great use of Canvas for the image processing for this project.
TTC already have a successful platform in which companies can keep track of their employees compliance within aviation security. We bring another core feature to this system - Background checking.
Managers can login to the platform and request a background check online. The process starts immediately with the candidate being sent the application form.
TTC previously carried out background checking with a detailed form sent to candidates, this often involved a lot of back and forth to ensure it was completed correctly. With our help this form is now 100% digital, and includes checks to ensure accurate information first time
Previously, TTC reached out to past employers via email or phone calls. This collection of supporting information, is now also totally automated with emails with links to forms sent out automatically to the referees. The system returns this information back to the admin system and re-sends any un-replied to emails.
The background check functionality integrates seamlessly with invoicing on the platform, including completed checks on invoices automatically sent out at the end of the month. It also integrates with FreeAgent for bookkeeping.
TTC login to their platform and can see everyone who has requested a background check. They can dive into a check and see it’s status at a glance. Seeing how much of the required 5 years background information has come back from the automated emails, of if we are still waiting on employer information.
